This four week session meets Tuesday, June 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 6pm-8pm. Beginner level students will learn the basics of hand building with clay. In the first two classes, students will explore different approaches to working with clay to build the kinds of vessels that could be wheel thrown such as vases, bowls, platters, etc. Students will work with stamps and tools to add texture to their pieces. In the third class students will add attachments or finishing touches. In the last class students will apply glazes and the instructor will give students a time/date to pick up their fired pieces.
